Tripods with twist locks (ring locks):Unscrew the screw cap completely and carefully pull out the leg segment. At the end of the segment there are two stop distance plates. Be careful not to drop these as they can come off on their own. Important: When completely dismantling the tripod, remember which stop distance plates belong to which leg segment, as they vary in size! Gently clean all parts with mild soapy water and dry everything carefully. The threads of the closures can be greased with silicone grease or spray. Never use contact spray or other lubricants! To assemble, hold the two stop spacer plates against the leg segment to be inserted. Using slight twisting movements, push the small segment into the larger one until the notch between the two plates slides into the web inside the larger segment. Now push the two pipes together and tighten the screw cap again.

Insert: Place the first sealing ring into the upper groove of the pipe on the thread. Then lightly grease the sealing ring. Place the second sealing ring in the screw cap. It is not necessary to grease the sealing ring.Detailed illustrated instructions can be found in the operating instructions for your W tripod. To reduce the risk of dirt getting in, only open the screw caps by half a turn. This is completely sufficient for extending and retracting the tripod legs.

SIRUI tripods are generally not waterproof (with the exception of the W series). We do not recommend using the tripod in water (for long periods of time). If it has been standing in water, it won't break. But it is advisable to dry and clean the tripod legs with a cloth afterwards. For intensive cleaning, please read "How do I clean my tripod?" After each use in the water: Before you put your legs together again, be sure to dry them well. The W series tripods are equipped with specially sealed twist locks and are waterproof. They can be safely used in water up to the top edge of the foam rubber handles. After each use in the water: Before you put your legs together again, be sure to dry them well.
The movement of the legs can be adjusted using a screw on the tripod shoulder. To do this, take the two Allen keys included in the delivery and use them to tighten the screw a little for more strength or to loosen it a little. You will need two Allen keys to lock the screw on one side.
The mobility can be regulated using the Allen screw in the hinged lock. To do this, use the Allen key included in the delivery. Adjusting the flip locks may be necessary if the tripod is exposed to strong temperature fluctuations. The change in folding strength at different temperatures is not a defect but is in the nature of the materials processed.IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten the fasteners. Test your way slowly by repeatedly closing and opening the shutter. If it is tightened too tightly, it can be damaged when it is closed if the tension is too high.
No, the stand (stand spider) is only compatible with the PS/PSR series or with the EPS series.
No, the stand spider for the PS/PSR or EPS monopods is not available to purchase as a stand-alone item.
Mount the ball head on a tripod. Then turn the ball locking knob clockwise and tighten as hard as you can. Finally, turn the friction control counterclockwise until it stops. The head should then release normally again.
No, the base of the heads cannot be replaced. Although it can be removed with a lot of effort, correct functionality of the head can no longer be guaranteed afterwards. This also voids the SIRUI guarantee.
No, absolutely not. The U-bolt is not intended for straps or hand straps and we strongly advise against using it for this purpose. The bracket is used to tighten the screw by hand. For a really tight fit, an Allen key should also be used. For using camera straps, we recommend the SIRUI removable plates TY-LP40, AM-LP40, TY-LP70 and AM-LP70.
