Filming in slow motion: Basic techniques
Shoot at the highest practical frame rate. You cannot create smooth slow motion in post-production if not enough individual frames were captured during filming.
Adjust the shutter speed to the frame rate. The 180-degree shutter rule is the standard guideline: the shutter speed should be approximately twice as fast as the frame rate—around 1/120s at 60 fps, 1/240s at 120 fps, and 1/480s at 240 fps.
