Information obligations according to §18 or §19a ElektroG
1. Disposal of electrical and electronic equipment
The symbol of the "crossed-out trash can" means that you are legally obligated to dispose of these devices separately from unsorted municipal waste. Disposal via household waste, such as the residual waste bin or the yellow bin, is prohibited. Avoid incorrect disposal by properly disposing of them at designated collection and return points.
2. Removal of batteries and lamps
If the products contain batteries and accumulators or lamps that can be removed from the old device without destruction, these must be removed before disposal and disposed of separately as batteries or lamps. The following batteries or accumulators are included in this electrical device: Battery type [please complete] (e.g., button cells or AAA+) with the chemical elements [please complete] (e.g., lithium or manganese).
3. Options for the Return of Old Devices
Owners of old devices can return them free of charge as part of the options for returning or collecting old devices established and made available by public waste disposal authorities, ensuring proper disposal of the old devices. Additionally, returns are also possible under certain conditions at distributors. For Distributors: The return must be free of charge when purchasing a similar new device. (1:1 return) Regardless of this, there is the option to return old devices to the distributor free of charge. The condition for this is that the external dimensions do not exceed 25 centimeters and the return is limited to three old devices per type of device (0:1 return).
Retail: Distributors with a sales area of at least 400 square meters for electrical and electronic devices are obliged to take back old electrical appliances. Additionally, food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 square meters who offer and make electrical and electronic devices available on the market multiple times a calendar year or permanently are also obliged to take them back.
Distance Selling Market: Distributors who sell their products using means of distance communication are obliged to take back old devices if the storage and shipping areas for electrical and electronic devices are at least 400 m².
B2B Manufacturer: In the case of B2B devices, the return does not have to be offered free of charge.
4. Data protection
"We inform all end users of electrical and electronic equipment that they are responsible for deleting personal data on the devices to be disposed of."
5. WEEE Registration Number
Under the registration number DE78068885 we are at the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register, Nordostpark 72, 90411 Nuremberg, registered as a manufacturer of electrical and/or electronic devices.
6. Collection and Recovery Rates
The EU member states are required to collect data on waste electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the WEEE Directive and to transmit this data to the European Commission. On the BMUV website, you will find more information on this.
