lenses
With the SIRUI 1.25x anamorphic adapter, you widen the shots of your
Lenses without losses (cropping) in height and obtain the typical
Characteristics of a true anamorphic cinema lens, such as backlighting effects and
Lens effects (flares) and oval bokeh.
Spherical lens
When using a spherical
Lenses (non-aspherical) achieve about 16:9 with the SIRUI 1.25x adapter at a 4:3 ratio and
at 16:9 approximately 20:9.
Anamorphic
Lens
When using an anamorphic lens, the squeeze factor of the
Lenses are multiplied by the squeeze factor of the SIRUI adapter 1.25x. That means 1.6x becomes 2.0x
and 1.33x becomes 1.66x
The adapter can be used with lenses with 67, 72, 77, 82, and 92mm filter threads
to be used. It has an 82mm outer thread for direct attachment to lenses with a
82mm filter thread. The package includes three step-down rings 82 -> 67mm / 82 -> 72mm /
82 -> 77mm and a step-up ring 82 -> 92mm.
The adapter itself has an 82mm filter thread at the front.
